A 200' Barge (for use with a Towboat)

This model of the AEP
Hopper Barge will be built in
1/35 scale. The original's dimensions are: 200' long, 35'
wide, and 13' deep (hull), with a loaded draft of 11' (approx 1'6"
unloaded). The model should be 65.6" long, 12" wide, and 4.6"
deep (hull). Loaded weight should be about 36 pounds.
Drawings were supplied from "Towboat Joe" (Joe Brown).
The construction will most likely be made like my small towboat (on this site) by using "one by" wood for the sides, with the edges routed to accept 1/4" plywood for the bottom and 1/8" plywood for the top deck.
